If you want an all over tan,
if you like to enjoy the sun and sea without the constraints of clothes, if
naturism is your thing, then Fuerteventura is the place to be.
The
warm weather obviously is one factor that brings nudists here. But the sheer
number of beaches – some isolated – is another. And although there is no
official line on nudism in Fuerteventura, it is clearly tolerated.
Generally, if it is not in town and not dotted with sun beds, naturism is
tolerated. If it's greater privacy you are after, then there are plenty of
makeshift stone shelters dotted around beaches.
Topless bathing is tolerated on all beaches and around swimming pools. But
take not that the Atlantico shopping centre in Caleta de Fuste, if a woman
goes in wearing only a bikini she will be asked to cover up!
If
you decide to join the growing band of naturists, remember that you
will be exposing parts of your body that doesn't normally see the sun! So
remember to put ample lashings of lotion over those dangly, naughty bits!

draw a few disapproving glances.
We
have listed a few of the more popular naturist sites below. However, do not be put
off visiting these places even if you prefer to cover up. Nudism is optional
and many non-naturist families also visit these beaches.
In the major resorts, nudism is
often practised among the sand dunes of Corralejo and in Morro Jable, on the
beach to the north of the light house while in Caleta de Fuste, it is not
practised at all.
