| La Pared is
located in the south of the island and served well by roads although getting
to the actual beaches is by dirt track.
La Pared has a black, volcanic, pebbly beach which is at the mouth of a ravine cut into the slopes of the Betancuria massif and is set in a small bay with rough seas. The small village of La Pared is close by and the area was developed to be an exclusive holiday resort which never took off. The family friendly restaurant Bahia Mar offers a good day out with a fully equipped swimming pool
