Fuerteventura beaches - La Pared beach

La Pared is located in the south of the island and served well by roads although getting to the actual beaches is by dirt track.

La Pared has a black, volcanic, pebbly beach which is at the mouth of a ravine cut into the slopes of the Betancuria massif and is set in a small bay with rough seas.

The small village of La Pared is close by and the area was developed to be an exclusive holiday resort which never took off. The family friendly restaurant Bahia Mar offers a good day out with a fully equipped swimming pool

and slide, children’s play area and great views of the coast.

La Pared is one end of the Istmo de la Pared, a four paredkilometre strip of sand which runs coast to coast.Viejo Rey beach marks the northern tip through which the sands come in and in contrast to La Pared, has golden sands and is at the foot of a cliff.

Some beaches in this area are only visible at low tide.
