| This walk will take you past a delicious local
restaurant and along a magnificent stretch of coastline where you will hardly
see a soul. Start at the sea salt museum just outside Caleta de Fuste - itself worth spending an hour at. You can, of course, walk to the museum from Caleta de Fuste itself. From the museum, follow the track into the white stoned village of Las Salinas where the restaurant is. After this is a stretch of barren land, passing a dump and then on to a crest where you can look down at the pretty sight of the black sand beach of Puerto de la Torre and a smattering of palms dot a nearby barranco. To climb the barranco take the track to the left soon passing through the gateway of an old fence whose line you should follow to the clifftops five minutes away. TIPS: Stop at the restaurant! Allow about 1 hour 15 minutes for the walk - excluding the restaurant! views of the coast. Five minutes further takes you to a gravel bank leading down to the peace and quiet of the beach at the mouth of the Barranco de Majada Honda.
