Villaverde
It is situated just north of La Olivia on the road to Corralejo.
There is an agricultural museum in the village which reflects Villaverde's agricultural past. It is open Monday to Saturday 10am-6pm.
Villaverde is 20kms from the beaches of El Cotillo and about 12 kms from Corralejo.
The hills surrounding
Villaverde are dotted with smallholdings while in the village itself, there
are a couple of restaurants, a supermarket and a rural hotel. There are also
two well preserved windmills.
Just outside Villaverde is La Rosita where you can go on a camel safari, stroll through the cactus and wild flower gardens or even visit a small zoo.
