Tarajalejo is an expanding village that seems to give the feel that it needs
finishing off. It has grown from the original fishing village. A hotel has been built next to the of village and the main road, which used to run along the sea front, has been changed. Tarajalejo has a large beach running to almost one kilometre long although it is pebbly and dotted with black sand. The quay lies to then east of the town. Windsurfing is popular here and it is also possible to take catamaran lessons. The old town of Tarajalejo still retains a Spanish feel with a number of bars and restaurants and there is a large town square used for fiestas. |
