| Fuerteventura has a
glorious climate all year. Temperatures rarely drop below 63°F (17°C) and
more often above 82°F (28°C) during the day Sea breezes keep the island from baking. Rainfall in the summer months is almost non-existent, but showers do happen between October and April. Winter holidaymakers are advised to a pullover and light trousers for evenings, and possibly the odd rare cloudy day, but most times of the year shorts and T-shirts will do. The sea adjusts the temperature making the hot Sahara winds blow away from the island of Fuerteventura. During the winter months, temperatures average a high of 21°C and a low of around 15°C, whereas during the summer an average high of 27°C and a low of 20°C can be expected. Waterfall is about 147 mm per year most of which falls in the winter. .

The sandstorm known as the scirocco - Leveche in Spain - blows to the southwest from the Sahara desert causing high temperatures and low visibility and drying air. Temperatures during this phenomena rise by 10 degrees Celsius.
