Caleta beach

Caleta de Fuste has two golden sandy beaches ideal for sunbathing or bathing.

An easy going, relaxed town, Caleta beach shelves gently into the  sea making for extremely safe bathing, ideal if you have children.

The main beach is set in a sweeping horse shoe bay - a vast area of sand. There are lots of sun beds and a variety of beach bars on the promenade.

Walking south, Caleta beach has been reclaimed into a number of sandy lagoons with little stone shelters to provide privacy.

Heading in the opposite direction following the beach towards the harbour is an area especially set aside for water sports.

If you have never tried windsurfing, here you can try a two hour "taster" session. There is also jet-ski and scuba diving centres.

There is plenty going on here and bars and cafes where you can watch the world go by. There is an

oceanarium, a friendly sea lion and boat trips from trips in a glass bottomed boat to swimming with dolphins ad whale watching.

Further still past the harbour, the coastline becomes rocky with countless coves and crashing waves where local fishermen try to catch their supper.

A coastal promenade leads all the way to Nuevo Horizonte on the outskirts of Caleta de Fuste.
