| Tindaya itself
doesn't have a beach being inland but it is the closest village to some of
the best beaches on the west coast of Fuerteventura, Beaches are dotted around this area – a popular one being the Playa de la Mujer at the end of the main track from Tefia.

It gets its
name from the cliff face at the southern end which, from certain angles,
resembles the face of a woman (mujer). Most of the beaches around this area
can only be reached along dirt tracks so remember if you hire a car, your
insurance won't cover you. The sea in this area, although not dangerous, can be a little tricky
