Fuerteventura beaches - Tarajalejo beach, Giniginamar beach, La Lajita beach

Dark sand, slightly rocky Tarajalejo beach is popular for water sports ad you can take catamaran lessons here.

Originally a fishing villa, Tarajalejo has developed into a minor tourist resort with the old part of town retaining its Spanish roots.

Giniginamar beach

Near to Tarajalejo is Giniginamar - a small village with a black sand beach.

Some authentic Canarian food here and perfect if you want to get away from it all. Some development is starting in the village.

La Lajita beach

A small, dark sanded beach in the village itself a short distance from the zoo and botanical gardens.

A pretty church overlooks the beach and there are a couple of nice Canarian cafes nearby.
